Piano Removals in Scotland

We don’t run a local branch in Scotland — which means every piano move we do there is a long-distance or specialist-access job, the exact work this site exists for. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth, Paisley and everywhere between are all within reach, whether the piano is coming from south of the border or moving between two Scottish addresses.

Piano removals across Scotland’s cities

We regularly plan moves to and from Edinburgh and Glasgow, and take on jobs further out — Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth and Paisley all come up too. A move doesn’t have to cross the border to count as long-distance: an Edinburgh-to-Glasgow relocation, or a piano heading up to Aberdeen from anywhere else in the country, gets the same route planning and protective handling as a job spanning the length of the UK.

If your move is a straightforward local one within a single Scottish town, a nearby local mover will usually be quicker and better value. Where we come in is distance, access, or both — and Scotland has plenty of both.

Difficult access in Scotland’s older properties

A lot of Scotland’s housing stock makes for genuinely hard piano access, and it’s the kind of work we take on rather than turn away:

  • Tenement close stairs & shared stairwells
  • New Town & Old Town Edinburgh properties
  • Glasgow West End townhouses & flats
  • Spiral or winding stone staircases
  • Narrow closes with tight turns
  • Upper-floor tenement flats without a lift

Grand pianos are partly dismantled for the journey and rebuilt on arrival — standard practice on every long-distance move, wherever it starts or ends.

Getting a piano to or from Scotland

The same planning applies whether we’re heading north from Yorkshire or moving a piano between two Scottish cities: postcodes and access at both ends, the piano type and size, and a route planned around the whole journey rather than treated as an add-on to a local job. See the full long-distance process, or send us the details and get a price built around your actual move.

Scotland piano removal FAQs

Do you cover Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dundee?

Yes. We don't run a local branch in Scotland, so every job is a long-distance or specialist-access move by definition — which is exactly what we're set up for. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth, Paisley and everywhere between are all within reach.

Can you collect from or deliver to a tenement flat?

Yes. Communal stairwells, narrow closes and upper-floor flats without a lift come up often on moves into and out of Scotland's cities, and we plan the equipment and the team size around that access before the day.

Do you move pianos between two Scottish cities, not just to/from England?

Yes — an Edinburgh-to-Glasgow move, or any city-to-city job within Scotland, is treated the same way as a cross-border one. Distance and access are what shape the plan, not which side of the border either end is on.

How long does a move between England and Scotland take?

Most routes are collected and delivered on the same day. For the longest journeys, or where timing at either end is tight, we may collect the day before delivery so the piano arrives on schedule — we'll agree the plan with you in advance.
